Chinese tea · acid on black
Near-black ground, acid yellow-green headlines, one orange trail across the frame. Loud typography around a quiet product, with the leaf shot as it is.

A sport poster is built to be read across a room: one word large, one colour that cannot be ignored, a line of movement through the frame. That construction, the one Nike advertising made standard, turns out to fit tea, which has movement of its own in the steam and in the trail a pour leaves. What you are looking at is an independent study of the format, with nothing behind it but our own shelf. The near-black ground keeps the leaf the only brown thing on the page, and the acid green is loud so the product can stay quiet. Where a poster would put a claim, we print a batch code: every design is a batch, every tea a lane in the same catalogue.
